History

Victoria Hotel Bergen, our first property, marks the beginning of an exciting journey, with several new hotels set to open in the near future. Located in Kong Oscars gate 29, Victoria Hotel Bergen is an iconic building with a history dating back to 1913. Originally built as a commercial property and designed by renowned architect Anton M. M. Kielland, the building became a hotel in 1916 under the name Hotel St. Olav. In 1923, it was renamed Victoria Hotel, quickly earning a reputation for elegance and quality at the heart of Bergen. The hotel served as a hub for travellers and locals alike until 1962. In the years that followed, the building housed a variety of businesses, each adding to its rich and diverse history. Today, Victoria Hotel Bergen proudly reopens as the first hotel in the BREEZE family. With respect for its storied past, the hotel seamlessly blends modern design with historic charm, offering guests a truly unique experience.
